Conley Group assisted the U.S. Department of State Division of Sourcing with roof system condition assessments and development of a roof management plan for approximately 2 million square feet of roof area on over 20 buildings in 5 different countries. The existing roof systems featured extensive mechanical equipment, communication, and ventilation systems installation which required renovation and modification to permit roof system repair and replacement. In addition, research of local climatic conditions was required to assess roof drainage design, R-value criteria, and membrane construction phasing schedules.
In order to develop accurate budgets and to assist the State Department Procurement Division with sourcing, this program included analysis/cost estimate of “local” and U.S. based manufacturer and contractor capabilities for the proposed project. As a result, this program gave the U.S. Department of State greater control over the financial management of their roof assets in these locations.
