New Construction of 900,000 square foot corporate headquarters with three office buildings of either six or seven stories and a 670 foot long commons building. Construction cost $172 million. Designed by HKS Architects with Beck Group as general contractor.
Conley Group was retained by Beck Group to provide technical support and review of the exterior waterproofing systems during the planning/c shop drawing phases for each system and observation of system installation.
Review items included the waterproofing systems/components for below grade portions of the various buildings including planters parking garages elevator pits, central plant, and expansion joints.
Vertical and horizontal waterproofing systems were also reviewed including curtain walls, masonry, deck coatings roofing systems and balconies. Individual details as well as system products were reviewed for performance and suitability
Recommendations were provided to modify details for stronger performance and consider product alternations. Conley Group reviewed submittals from subcontractors for the various systems providing feedback on their plans and products relative to the design and construction documents. Site visits were conducted during system construction, to observe installation quality and conformance to specification.
