Conley Group was retained by the City of Dallas to provide Exterior Restoration, Design, and Construction Administration for 2014 Main Street located in Dallas, Texas.
The 2014 Main Street building houses multiple courtrooms and administrative offices. The restoration protected the building’s historical landmark status.
Conley Group was responsible for the coordination of the Texas HistoricalCommission relating to the “Oswald Related” areas as well as protection and preservation of building elements to accommodate “Landmark” requirements.The two buildings, 2014 Main and 106 Harwood, were separated by request of the city. This included access corridors/stairs, utilities, and HVAC systems.Demolition of existing interior was performed as necessary for renovation including mechanical/HVAC systems electrical and plumbing. Exterior renovation including replacement of roof and repair of masonry façade/windows. Replacement of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems including fire protection. Upgrade and accommodations for accessibility relative to ADA/TAS compliance and life safety. Interior renovation to provide necessary court and administrative functions.
The project was completed with historically correct attention to detail. Conley Group and Senior Architect, Ken Paar, were later awarded the 2014 Historic RestorationAchievement Award by the City of Dallas for outstanding work performed on this building.
